Kid's Fitness Program*

Class Schedule

Animal Frenzy (3-7 yrs): This class focuses on motor skills using the movements of animals (hop, jump, gallop, flap your wings) and encourages imaginary play to have fun while learning important physical skills.

Cardio Kids (3-7yrs): Age appropriate activities to get the children’s heart rates up.  An introduction to stretching and warm-ups, followed by fast-paced games and exercises.

Circuit Training (8-12 yrs): Newly designed circuit training that incorporates strength training and cardiovascular stations for a total body workout.  Kids learn proper technique and breathing while using weights, resistance bands and exercise balls.  Muscle groups are emphasized as well as benefits of warming-up, stretching and cooling-down.  All participants will learn to record their exercises on a chart and measure their progress on a weekly basis.

Creative Movement (3-7 yrs): Basic moves of dance and play to improve flexibility and strength.  Scarves, hula hoops and ribbons add to the fun!

Dance Mix (8-12 yrs): Children learn basic steps to Jazz, Tap, Hip-Hop Dance and more while incorporating fitness fundamentals like stretching and coordination.

Diamond Basics (3-7 yrs): Children are introduced to basic skills and rules of baseball and softball, with participation in games. Emphasis on stretching, proper technique and fun!

 

 

Fitness Adventure (3-7 yrs): Develops children's coordination and gross motor skills through imaginary play and movement.

Fitness Blast (8-12yrs): This class consists of creative, fun and high-energy exercises.  Emphasis is on teaching kids to increase their heart rates, learning about muscle groups and having fun!

Game Time (3-7 yrs): Children participate in various activities including sports, fitness skills and cooperative games.  Helps develop gross motor skills, coordination and team play.

Hip-Hop Dance (8-12 yrs): Children learn basic dance moves of this style and incorporate them into short routines. Emphasis on stretching, proper steps and coordination.

Kickboxing Kids (8-12 yrs): An introduction to cardio kickboxing for kids.  Teaches warm-ups, stretching, and basic self defense movements all incorporated into a fun routine.

Little Yogis and Tumbling (3-7 yrs): Combination of gymnastics tumbling and basic yoga poses designed to increase flexibility and balance.  All moves safely modified for little bodies!

Open Gym (3-12 yrs): Open gym applies when a structured class format is not scheduled.  Children participate in various activities based on ages and number of children in attendance.

Playground Games (3-7 yrs): All the great games you remember as a kid!  Children participate in a variety of games that emphasize coordination, imaginary play and teamwork.

 

Sports Skills (8-12 yrs): Kids will not only get a better understanding of team sports but learn the proper techniques of jumping, running and throwing. Emphasis is on form, cardio conditioning and fun!

Sports Soup (8-12/3-7yrs): The focus is on age appropriate sports and games to develop coordination and sportsmanship.  Instructor will begin with activity-appropriate warm-ups and stretching, followed by a sport such as basketball, soccer, hockey and MORE!

Tumbling Tots (3-7 yrs): Children learn basics of tumbling, balance and social skills in a positive environment.  Helps balance, flexibility, and coordination through the use of obstacle courses, gymnastic equipment, games and rhythmic apparatus.

Youth Yoga (8-12 yrs): Basic to intermediate yoga poses and stretching designed to increase flexibility, strength and balance. All poses modified for growing bodies.

Youth Pilates (8-12 yrs): Beginner-level Pilates, with an emphasis on proper form, stretching and breathing.  Kids will get a chance to learn the hottest fitness class that builds strength and increases flexibility.

 

 

*Our class schedule changes with every season, 4 times per year.  The listing above includes all of our classes that are offered throughout the year.  Only a selection of the above classes will be offered on each schedule.
