Meet Our Trainers
Bethany
Azevedo brings a
diverse experience of training to the Family Fitness Zone. She is a
Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with 15 years of
experience and degrees in Nutrition and Exercise Science. She has
worked with hundreds of clients ranging from weight loss to sports
specific training. Her most recent endeavor was working with two
high school students who both made Venezuela’s National Teams for
swimming and water polo.
Bethany’s
specializes with post-rehab clients. She has had great success
combining her athletic background and her education to help many
injured individuals reach their goals. She has worked with
individuals with Parkinson’s, cerebral palsy and fibromyalgia. As
well as numerous clients recovering from joint injuries, hip
replacements, shoulder surgery and lower back ailments.
Bethany enjoys her
role as the Adult Services Coordinator here at the Family Fitness
Zone. She is proud of her team of personal trainers and confident
in their skills to help every member of the Family Fitness Zone
reach their goals.
AJ
Vieira is an American Muscle and Fitness Certified
Personal Trainer. His background is in strength training and muscle
building but his talents do not stop there. He currently works with
a wide variety of clients whose goals ranged from toning and
sculpting to weight loss and sport specific training.
AJ uses a wide
variety of intensity techniques in his personal training sessions to
make sure you’re sweating and working your muscles for maximum
results. AJ prides himself in making sure his clients are using
proper form during their training sessions and provides his clients
with the knowledge they need to further their fitness level. AJ
also has experience training clients with preexisting injuries and
has helped them reach their goals while strengthening and supporting
their injury.
He has a Bachelors degree in Social Work from
Rhode Island College and has a natural ability to create great
personal connections with his clients offering encouragement and
motivation to help them reach their goals. This wonderful
combination of personality and training knowledge makes him a very
successful trainer.
Jennifer
Ray is a Certified Personal Training with the National
Personal Training Institute. She specializes in individual and
group programs, nutritional counseling, weight management,
flexibility and core stability along with injury strengthening,
adult and youth training and pre-post natal programs.
Exercise for her
means maintaining good health and the best quality of life. Jenn
believes we need to stay healthy and flexible, toned and keep our
self esteem strong. This can only be done through exercise.
Exercise is an investment not a monthly cost. “Use it or lose it.”
Jenn provides her
clients with challenging workouts and always provides new routines.
Her laughter and easygoing personality helps to ease her clients
into a workout session. As she gets to know them she will progress
and drive her clients to help enjoy a great workout and achieve
their goals.
Kris
Gray began her fitness career as a group exercise
instructor 7 years ago, specializing in Step and Strength Training
classes. Certified by the American College of Sports Medicine in
2004, Kris has enjoyed working with over twenty-five clients in the
last few years and overseeing the fulfillment of their fitness
goals. Most notably, Kris helped a bride-to-be shed over 30 pounds
before her wedding day!
Kris' personal
interests include music, cooking and just spending time with friends
and family. Kris' dedication to her personal training clients is
rivaled only by her expertise and enthusiasm for helping them reach
optimum fitness.

Robyn Gauthier began her journey as
a certified group exercise instructor 8 years ago. She specializes
in fusing dance and exercise as seen in her Ballet Boot Camp and
Step classes. Certified in Personal Training by the Aerobics and
Fitness Association of America in 2004, Robyn has trained dozens of
clients to success - in all shapes and sizes.
Noted for her "tough love" approach, Robyn gets results for her
clients. During the day, Robyn teaches 7th grade English and enjoys
taking care of her husband, son and two daughters.
